A Few Things

In the depths of winter, I finally learned that there lay within me an invincible summer -Albert Camus
Ok, ok, ok.  There’s probably way too much to say, to say it all at once.  I’ve been busy with life and jet lag and running to sit right down and put pen to paper.  I’ve meant to, oh really I have, and I’ve certainly thought of things to say since last we spoke (or last I wrote…?).

I should probably start with the thing you’ve likely already surmised:  I’m back in California.  Long back, actually (at least in the world of the Internet).  I got home on February 2nd and have been moving and shaking since.

Things of note:

Leaving my job and packing up sticks in a week

Eating fondue and drinking wine out of a baby bottle for my last night in Paris

Fighting off jet-lag while also trying to make up for 5 months of atrophying muscles (result: falling asleep at 8pm and awaking between the hours of 3 and 5AM.  Lovely.)

Turning 26.  TWENTY SIX.

Biggest baking disaster to date (pictures to come)

Hiking in the woods

Seeing friends

Feeling much much better.

So, yes.  More to come.  Much more, indeed.  But off I have to go, right this minute.
