After a long hiatus, I decided to get another Stitch Fix box. In case you're wondering, yes, this is the 6th fix and no, I did not post my 5th fix. I have it on my computer, but just never got around to doing a write up, so maybe I'll put it up when I have some free time and get inclination.
What is Stitch Fix? Stitch Fix is a mail order styling service for women. You sign up on their website, answer their questions to create a style profile, pay the $20 styling fee, and receive 5 items curated for you by one of their stylists. You also have the opportunity to create a Pinterest board to link to for your stylist and a place to write notes about any details you want to share with your stylist that you think will help them understand what you're looking for. Clothing goes from sizes 0/XS-14/XL and includes maternity and petite sizing.
Stitch Fix allows you to leave a note for your stylist where you can leave requests, give them feedback or let them know any special events you have coming up that you'd like them to keep in mind. In my note to my stylist, I requested an all dress fix for the two big weddings I have coming up: one in a French Chateau, the other in a Montana barn.

Here's what I got:
Maggy London - Kamren Dress
When I opened my box, I immediately spotted this stunning print amongst the other fabrics and was crossing my fingers that the dress would be a keeper. Boy, as soon as I put it on, I knew this was THE dress. It fits perfectly and is just so perfect for the weddings I am going to: memorable, but not over the top, comfortable and appropriately cut. I love it!
VERDICT: Kept. (EASY!) $98

Adrianna Papell - Shondra Lasercut Dress
This dress is an interesting neoprene-type fabric that is very cute. I like the the shape and the fit was nearly spot on, but ultimately I felt that the dress was a bit lack luster to justify keeping. While I would definitely say that the fit was good, it wasn't as perfect as the Kamren dress. In the end, I decided that it didn't really have a place in my wardrobe.

Collective Concepts - Leonore Dress
This dress was so interesting! At first I was a bit skeptical, particularly about the length; I thought the dress was going to be too short. However, once on, it didn't read too long and was really quite cute! While the dress comes with a tie, I almost liked it better without it (you can see I've pictured it both ways). While it didn't feel small, there was a fit issue with the front pleat, which looks as though it is pulling apart too much, and reads a bit wide in the picture; I think this dress was meant for someone slightly less bustier than I! haha!

Brixon Ivy - Laser Cut Dress
Oh, how I wish this dress had worked out! I immediately fell in love with this gorgeous color and classic shaped dress. Everything about it fits my aesthetic, so I was a bit disappointed that it was just plain too small (and a little too short as well). I love the neckline, the fitted waist and the subtle laser cut details at the bottom. I was sad to see this one go.

41 Hawthorn - Arlinda Textured Dress
The final item up on the chopping block was this purple and black knit dress. Let's face it, I knew immediately upon looking at it that this dress was going to be too short. I was actually surprised because Stitch Fix knows I am almost 5'10" and I have stated in my fashion profile that I prefer not show too much leg (they tend to reveal my hearty Irish/German bloodline just a little too effectively). So when I put the dress on, I was not surprised to see that the proportions were just plain off. The general idea of the dress is cute and I do like the shape. However, the cut and fabric that the dress was made of left something to be desired in the quality department. Additionally, the dress was a bit too small.

The Nitty Gritty
Overall, I was very happy with this fix! My hope was that I would see some new options for my summer wedding dress search and at the very least, get a few fresh ideas. I was thrilled to find a dress that will work for both the events and that I really love. Seriously, my stylist Bree (who I was excited to see is still with the company) is my spirit animal; she just gets my style.
A few other details:
If you refer a friend (or inspired stranger), then you received a $25 credit when that person orders and receives their first fix. So, if you're interested in trying this service, I'd love for you to use my Referral Link. ;o)
Every fix comes with a personalized note from your stylist describing briefly why s/he picked the items for you. In addition, there is a card that shows two ways to style each item in the fix in order to give you inspiration.
When it comes to checking out, the $20 styling fee is credited back to you, even if you keep just one item. Also, if you buy all five items, then the whole lot is 25% off. It's interesting how the 25% off plays into the decision-making process.
